In addition to regular communication from management to employees on important corporate developments, various activities are organised to engage our employees hence create a greater sense of belonging to the Group while promoting cohesiveness and team spirit among colleagues.
Set up during the Group’s 120th anniversary with an initial FRM1.2 million fund, F&N Chairman's Award aims to promote educational excellence and recognize high-achievers among children of F&N Group’s employees. Under this programme, cash awards are given out annually to children of employees who excelled in public examination. Since its inception in 2003, the Chairman’s Award has disbursed over RM2 million and has benefitted 2,000 children of F&N employees to date.

At F&N, we believe that the practice of social integrity has many different facets. We uphold brand responsibility, at all times heeding the feedbacks of our stakeholders and demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion across the company.
Continuous training and professional development programmes are offered to all employees to enable them to realise their full potential, and at the same time build the Group’s human capital. In 2014, 36,000 training hours was invested into soft skill development for our employees.
The F&N Management Associate Programme, which was launched in October 2008, was one of the three finalists for the Best Management Trainee/Graduate Programme in the Graduate Recruitment Awards 2013. Our Management Associates Programme, in combination with the Group’s total working environment package, has been proven to positively appeal to young graduates. F&NHB is one of Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers, based on the Trendence Graduate Barometer, Malaysia’s largest graduate careers survey.
Nurturing a Healthy Workforce
As part of our commitment to ensuring the health and wellness of our employees, the Group organises various programmes that promote physical and mental well-being. Activities include the F&N Active Fitness program that encouraged all employees to walk at least 10,000 steps a day and 'Healthy Cooking' demonstration. The Group also organised a number of sports events at which our sporting talents had the opportunity to shine. These included Badminton Tournament 2014, Bowling Tournament and Futsal Championship
The Group places utmost priority on maintaining best practices in safety in order to protect our most valuable assets – our people. All business units are responsible for putting in place effective safety processes and procedures, and ensuring that employees have the knowledge to work safely.
Within the Group, F&N Dairies Malaysia and Dairies Thailand manufacturing facilities are OHSAS 18001:2007 certified, while F&N Beverages Manufacturing plant is EMS 14000:2004 certified.
As a result of a high level of commitment to safety practices, operations within the Group were recognised for exemplary performance. Dairies Malaysia’s Pulau Indah plant received the MSOSH OSH GOLD CLASS 11 Award for 2013 from the Malaysian Society of Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) under the category of Manufacturing and Chemical Sector.
Dairies Thailand received a Silver award in the Zero Accident Campaign 2014 from the Ministry of Labour for achieving Zero Lost Time Accident over a period of 5.6 million hours from 1 October 2009 to 31 December 2013. It also won Thailand’s National Occupational Safety and Health Award 2014 from the Ministry of Labour for the second consecutive year; and the Excellent Establishment of Labour Relations and Welfare Award (National Level) 2014 from the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare.
