Fragrant Yam Rice
This nutritious and aromatic Chinese-style yam rice is the perfect dinner dish for the family.
Ingredients
Dark soy sauce
Sweet soy sauce
Light soy sauce
Oyster sauce
Sesame oil
Salt & sugar
White pepper powder
Garlic, finely chopped
Shallots, finely chopped
Chicken, small chunks
Shiitake mushrooms, sliced
Yam, cubed
Rice
Water
CARNATION® Evaporated Creamer
Oil
Instruction
Saute the shallots and garlic until aromatic. Add in chicken chunks and stir-fry until the meat turns golden brown.
Add in yam cubes, mushrooms and all the seasonings then stir-fry for 5 min. Remove from heat and set aside.
Transfer rice, water, CARNATION® Evaporated Creamer and the stir-fry mixture into the rice cooker. Mix well and cook for 20 min.
Serve the yam rice with fried shallots and your favourite chilli sauce.
