100PLUS Pledges RM3 Million for Kuala Lumpur 2017
27 June 2016 – THE 29TH SEA GAMES and 9th ASEAN Para Games otherwise known as Kuala Lumpur 2017 is off to a good start when 100PLUS was the second company to officially sign up as a Silver Sponsor with the Malaysia SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) in Putrajaya on Monday 27 June 2016.
100PLUS, Malaysia’s No.1 isotonic beverage, has pledged RM3 million in full support of Kuala Lumpur 2017 next year.
A loyal and traditional supporter of Malaysian sports over the years, 100PLUS was among the earliest to respond to the call of YB Khairy Jamaluddin, the Minister of Youth and Sports, for companies to back the Games in 2017.
“100PLUS has been a sponsor of numerous major sporting events in the country when it was first revealed that Malaysia would host the SEA Games again in 2017, it was obvious that as the No.1 isotonic beverage in Malaysia, 100PLUS will be a part of this prestigious event. When YB En Khairy invited 100PLUS last month to come on board as a sponsor, 100PLUS accepted and the partnership was sealed.” “I am pleased to announce that 100PLUS will be the Official Isotonic beverage for Kuala Lumpur 2017. It is another proud achievement for 100PLUS which has come a long way since it was first introduced in Malaysia in 1983,” said Mr Lai at the Signing Ceremony between the Malaysia SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) and 100PLUS.
The partnership agreement was signed by Dato’ Lokman Hakim Ali, Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ms Leong Wai Yin, 100PLUS Marketing Manager and witnessed by YB Khairy and Mr Lai at the Menara KBS in Putrajaya today.
Commenting on the partnership, Khairy said, “We are proud to welcome 100PLUS as our isotonic sponsor who is no stranger to supporting Malaysia’s sports program. Its proven rehydrating qualities will go a long way in supporting the fans and helping athletes deliver their best during the Games.”
The Kuala Lumpur 2017 Games will take place from 19th to 31st August 2017 and it will be Malaysia’s sixth time of hosting the Games.It will also coincide with country’s 60th Merdeka celebrations and MASOC is working towards creating an unforgettable best games experience for sports fans in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
