The Haj season has come where Muslims from all over the world travel to Mecca to perform the fifth pillar of Islam. However, the large number of pilgrims and hot weather in the holy land can pose the risk of dehydration as millions of Muslims converge in Mecca for their spiritual pilgrimage.
For the first time during the 2019 Haj season, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&NHB) pledges its support to keep Malaysian pilgrims recharged and hydrated as they set to carry out their religious obligation under extreme weather in the hot summer month, crowded and physically demanding conditions, by sponsoring 100PLUS ACTIVE powder sachets to 6,000 pilgrims who are departing from Kuala Lumpur from early July to mid-August 2019.
F&NHB Chief Executive Officer, Lim Yew Hoe said that the Group felt humbled and honoured to be part of the unforgettable spiritual journey for thousands of Malaysians who had been waiting for this moment all their lives.
“The Haj represents the religious high point of a Muslim’s life and is a once-in-a lifetime experience that requires physical, mental and spiritual endurance. Staying fit and healthy while performing strenuous religious rituals in a challenging environment during the Haj is crucial for pilgrims so that they are able to get into the right frame of mind and focus solely on worship.
“100PLUS is Malaysia’s most preferred isotonic drink and supports Malaysians who are determined to give their best in whatever they do in life. We believe that our contribution of 100PLUS ACTIVE powder sachets will help our Malaysian pilgrims realise that they are capable of achieving their religious and spiritual goals if they constantly push the limits to make their Haj a memorable and rewarding experience,” he added.
In addition to the sponsorship, F&NHB briefed the first batch of Haj pilgrims flying out of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on July 9, 2019, on the right way of preparing the 100PLUS ACTIVE drink during a pre-briefing that was held at Mövenpick Hotel and Convention Centre KLIA. F&NHB Chairman, Tengku Syed Badarudin Jamalullail was present at the pre-briefing and distributed the 100PLUS ACTIVE powder sachets to the pilgrims.
100PLUS is synonymous with keeping Malaysians energised and hydrated especially after participating in physically taxing activities. Through the contribution, every pilgrim will receive a box of 100PLUS ACTIVE powder which comprises five 15g sachets. Easy to prepare, all the pilgrims need to do is add 230ml of drinking water to dilute the content of each pack. The 100PLUS ACTIVE powder sachets are convenient and easy to carry around during a long travel period such as the Haj, enabling the pilgrims to enjoy the isotonic beverage, wherever and whenever.
Loaded with added Vitamins B3, B6 and B12, the 100PLUS ACTIVE powder is specifically made to not only quench thirst but also to provide sufficient energy during and after sports or vigorous activities, to replace fluids lost by sweat. The non-carbonated isotonic drink rehydrates, replenishes and re-energises active Malaysians for optimal hydration.
