Spreading Raya Cheer To The Less Fortunate Via Seratus Ikhlas, Setulus 100PLUS
The Seratus Ikhlas, Setulus 100PLUS campaign, organised by Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&NHB), in collaboration with Media Prima Television Networks (MPTN) has reached its conclusion after successfully spreading Ramadan and the Hari Raya festive cheer to more than 3,000 people from underprivileged communities across Malaysia during the fasting month.
The one-month campaign saw 100PLUS Ambassadors and celebrities from the Seratus Ikhlas 100PLUS squad visiting homes of single mothers, the homeless and senior citizens to personally present Ramadan contributions courtesy of F&NHB, and participating in gotong-royong and other community activities at a Tahfiz school, mosques and an old folks home.
A special buka puasa session was specially organised today to mark the conclusion of the campaign at the Grand Bazaar Ramadan Raya in Bukit Jalil which was also attended by the Malaysian media fraternity. 100PLUS Ambassadors, Mira Filzah and Hairul Azreen, and other celebrities including Amira Othman, Andi Bernadee, Syafiq Kyle, Sarah Suhairi and Sufian Suhaimi who participated in the Seratus Ikhlas, Setulus 100PLUS campaign were also in attendance.
Speaking at the event, Lim Yew Hoe, Chief Executive Officer of F&NHB, said that the buka puasa treat reflected the Group’s appreciation of the Malaysian media who have supported F&NHB in various events and announcements throughout the years, besides thanking all those who have helped in spreading the Ramadan spirit and Raya cheer with the less fortunate during the campaign.
“The Seratus Ikhlas, Setulus 100PLUS campaign was organised to share positive messages on sincerity and honesty in helping the less fortunate as well as giving tips on how to stay fit and fresh during this Ramadan month.
“As the holy month of Ramadan is a time for reflection on faith, family and greater compassion and kindness towards others, we are humbled and pleased to be able to contribute to the less fortunate and also spread the Raya joy when the Seratus Ikhlas 100PLUS squad reached out to them throughout the holy month,” he said.
A special contest was held during the campaign which encouraged the public to ‘activate’ their Ramadan experience together with 100PLUS by sharing stories of ‘sincerity’ in the form of still images or short videos using the hashtags #SeratusIkhlas #AktifkanRamadanmu, with Instagram being the main social platform.
“Twenty lucky winners have been picked as they won 100PLUS beverages for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration and are also here together with us at this buka puasa session,” he added.
The sound of azan echoing from the loud speaker marked the breaking of fast and guests were feted to a sumptuous Ramadan buffet with a wide array of local and international spread including 100PLUS to restore energy especially after fasting for more than 12 hours during the day.
F&NHB is committed to spreading Ramadan cheer to the less fortunate especially underprivileged children who are in dire need of assistance. Since 2004, F&NHB has been organising buka puasa sessions for underprivileged children in the hopes of offering them the same opportunity to celebrate the fasting month and Hari Raya like other kids their age. The Group recently celebrated Ramadan with 44 children from Rumah Bakti Cahaya Hati by hosting a delightful buka puasa treat for the kids. During the event, the children were presented with new baju Melayu, baju kurung, tudung and songkok in addition to duit raya to enable the kids to celebrate an extra special Hari Raya this year. Besides the buka puasa dinner and Hari Raya goodies, F&NHB contributed a 16kg washing machine and a 10-litre rice cooker to Rumah Bakti Cahaya Hati to help ease the home residents’ burden in carrying out their daily household chores.
